Vans are pleased to announce that stalwarts of the East Coast Hip-Hop scene, Black Moon will be headlining the Vans Downtown Showdown after party. Since the launch of their debut album, Enta Da Stage, in 1993, Black Moon established themselves as a seminal act, and twenty years on, their influence is still holds strong.

La Grande Halle de la Villette has a long standing relationship with Hip-Hop, so it only seems fitting that this should be the platform for the group to perform their first full rendition of Enta Da Stage in almost two decades. With 2013 marking the 20th Anniversary of the album, this very special gig heralds a significant milestone for Black Moon.

Expect to hear the underground phenomenon that charted in the Billboard 100, ‘Who Got Da Props?’ , as well as other killer tracks such as ‘U Da Man’ and ‘How Many MC’s…’.

Having collaborated with the likes of Mobb Deep, Da Beatminerz and Heltah Skeltah, Black Moon are sure to deliver a stage show as strong as their set.

Vans’ Resident DJ Ramoen will kick things off as the doors open, then DJ Dogger takes to the decks before Black Moon quite literally, enter the stage shortly after. Closing the night will be Juan Love with some upbeat reggae, which is sure to end the night on a high.

Juan Love is the DJ alias of legendary skateboarder, John Cardiel. With a reputation for being something of a “reggae riddim sommelier”, Juan Love is sure to serve up some chilled vibes and ting from his favourites, Sizzla and Scientist, amongst others.

A limited number of tickets will be exclusively released for this invite only after party. Stay tuned for more information on where we will be releasing tickets.
